The Information technology industry in India has gained a brand identity as a knowledge economy due to its IT and ITES sectors. The IT–ITES industry has two major components: IT Services and business process outsourcing (BPO). The growth in the service sector in India has been led by the IT–ITES sector, contributing substantially to an increase in GDP, employment, and exports.
The survey of 649 enterprise-level IT professionals revealed these 4 key areas for cost-saving potential. Highlighted by the trend of people bringing their own devices (BYOD) to work, the study pinpoints backup, file sharing, data loss prevention (DLP) and analytics as areas where unified endpoint protection on a single platform would present considerable cost savings.
